Welcome to Shingang Elementary, where our basketball team shines under Coach Yang Rongjie’s leadership. Formed in 2023, we've quickly made our mark with strong performances and three tournament medals! Every practice with Coach Yang teaches us more than just basketball; it's about hard work and teamwork.
Teacher Chris: Welcome to our special interview with one of our top performing elementary basketball teams in Changhu County—Shingang Elementary School. Let’s hear from the coach and some of the players.
Coach Yang: Hello everyone. I'm Coach Yang. I'm also a teacher at Shengang Junior High School. I love basketball and enjoy teaching our young players. Go Team Shingang.
Teacher Chris: There are currently 35 players competing to be on the basketball team and their numbers are growing all the time.
Players:
I'm Jim. I'm playing center. Playing basketball is a lot of fun.
So far, the team has competed in three tournaments and won ten matches. They are ranked number 2 in Changhua County.
The players and coaches work very hard and we practice four times a week.
Hi, I'm Ann. I play forward. We practice every day to be the best.
